Residency Success Through IMS Med Team’s Clinical Experience Program

I’m thrilled to share that I matched into the Prime West Consortium Family Medicine Residency Program in San Dimas, California. This achievement marks a major milestone for me—reaching success after seven years of perseverance and finally matching on my eighth attempt at the U.S. residency application process.

What truly made the difference this time was the hands-on, verifiable U.S. clinical experience I gained working full-time in an inpatient setting as a limited license physician, under the supervision of board-certified physicians. Relocating from California to New York to pursue this opportunity was a difficult decision, but it turned out to be one of the best I’ve ever made.

I’m especially grateful to the IMS Med Team, who provided both housing and continuous support during my time in New York. Their guidance and generosity made my transition smoother and allowed me to focus fully on my clinical development. Through this experience, I significantly improved my skills in history taking, physical examination, SOAP documentation, and evidence-based patient management—skills that have truly prepared me for residency.
