Mentorship That Made the Difference: My IMS Experience

What made the house physician program at IMS so valuable wasn’t just the clinical experience—it was the mentorship. I had the opportunity to work closely with physicians who genuinely took the time to guide me, share their insights, and help me refine my skills.

The exposure to diverse specialties—especially in psychiatry, where I ultimately found my passion—helped me build a broad and solid clinical foundation, which proved essential during residency interviews. But beyond the medical training, it was the confidence that mentorship instilled in me that truly set this experience apart.

I entered residency feeling not only prepared but empowered. I was ready to contribute meaningfully to my team from day one. Even now, I continue to build on that foundation, and it shapes how I care for my patients and grow as a physician.
